I really enjoyed painting the portrait of this little girl at age 6 months. It amazes me how quickly babies change their features at that age. Little Miss P. looks so different now, at age 1. She transformed from infant to toddler in such a short time.
My personal preference for framing watercolour paintings:
- have it framed behind glass to protect the artwork.
- use a double mat, rather than a single one. It provides another colour to complement the artwork.
- the mat also creates a space between the art and the glass and prevents damage from condensation.
- a double mat makes the artwork look larger and gives it a custom look.
